In June, 2017 Geringer Capital acquired an eight property, 1,296 unit portfolio of multifamily real estate. The properties are located in four western US markets: Portland, Oregon; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Phoenix, Arizona.

Geringer has begun a value-add plan to renovate unit interiors replacing appliances, fixtures, flooring and mill work in order to meet the demands of the local markets. Additionally, each property is being assessed from an energy and resource efficiency point of view. Plans are being developed to improve each property’s environmental footprint. Examples include: LED lighting, Energy Star certified appliances, water efficient plumbing fixtures, smart thermostats as well as energy efficient heating and cooling equipment.

DOMUS was financed through private equity in both the US and Australia in addition to the capital contributed by Geringer Capital principals.
